Discover Lago di Garda

The Lago di Garda is situated in the North of Italy and is split between three regions, Lombardia, Trentino Alto Adige and Veneto. Its strategic position guarantees a mild and temperate climate which makes it a perfect destination all year long. Around the lake you can discover lovely little towns, picturesque mountains and natural reserves and choose among a number of different activities that will amaze you.

What to see.

Sirmione. Enchanting town situated on a narrow peninsula, Sirmione is celebrated by famous authors for its beauty. Here you can visit the ruins of the roman villa known as Grotte di Catullo owned by the poet Catullo, the Castello Scaligero built in the XIII century and enjoy one of the most important thermal centre in the world!

Bardolino. If this name is not new to you, this is probably due to the famous wine produced in these area: if you pass by, don’t forget to visit the Museo del Vino, where you can discover all the phases of the wine-making explained by experts.

Malcesine. A medieval town dominated by the castle, nestled in a rocky spur on the lake: the view from there is breathtaking! Taking the funicular you can reach the peak of the mountain just behind Malcesine, called Monte Baldo, which overlooks the lake and is the ideal place to enjoy a fantastic landscape.

Gardone Riviera. The most popular attraction in Gardone,a lovely town on the lake, is the Vittoriale: house of the Italian poet and writer Gabriele D’Annunzio, it became a museum containing all his memoirs.

What to do.

The Lago di Garda offers a variety of sports and activities to try, alone or with your family and friends: you can leave for an excursion and reach one of the incredible uplands set vertically on the western coast of the lake to enjoy the best view ever, or practice a new sport, like free climbing or kite surfing. If you are lucky you can watch the sailing championship, or take part in one of the family bike tours periodically organised for spending some time outdoor.

If you want to do something different, Gardaland is the biggest amusement park in Italy and it is perfect if you want to have fun!
