Hola! My name is Vanesa and I am a happy Spanish language teacher. My innate curiosity for communication, languages and cultures motivated me to complete a BA in journalism, and to obtain teaching qualification in Spanish language and literature in my native town, Madrid. After travel a little bit for Europe and Latin America, I decided to come to UK. Amased by the Londoner cultural jigsaw, I have been contributed to it as Spanish teacher for the last 10 years. My MA in Intercultural Communication in UCL enhanced my teaching methodology and inspirited me for the design and production of my own teaching material. As a result, in my lessons you will find a communicative and interactive approach, which will lead you to talk and discover Spanish as a language and culture. If you fancy a fun and instructive adventure, I will be waiting for you in Happy Language.

"¡Hola a todos! I am Clara, and I am one of the Spanish teacher at Happy Languages. Apart from my studies in Humanities and Anthropology in Spain, I have formal education in “Teaching Spanish as a foreign language” and “Teaching Spanish as a new language to migrants”.
Learning a new language can be a challenge in many ways, that’s why I always try to create relaxed and positive atmosphere in the classroom. Additionally, I love creating new materials and activities based on the students learning attitude, to better support them."
¡Hola! My name is Esther, one of the Spanish Teachers at Happy Languages. I believe being able to communicate in a different language opens a world of possibilities. It was this passion for languages what led me to obtain a BA in English Language and Literature, a MA in Teaching, specialised in Modern Foreign Languages, and a GCSLTA (Graduate Certificate in Spanish Language Teaching to Adults). Throughout the years I have gained experience teaching students of different levels, ages, and nationalities, both in private lessons and in different sized groups. From my point of view, it is essential to create a positive learning atmosphere by making the students feel listened to, and encouraging them to actively participate in the lessons, whilst being able to share my own knowledge and love for the Spanish language and culture. I'm looking forward to seeing you around. ¡Hasta pronto!
Originally from a small village in Castilla y Leon I spent several years living in Madrid pursuing my passion for theatre and drama. I continued that passion at university in London, gaining a combined honours degree in Spanish and Latin American studies and Theatre Studies. I have since completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning, which seemed a natural progression, as there is an element of performance in teaching. I have been teaching Spanish for nearly 20 years across a range of levels in universities, colleges, business environments and private lessons. I enjoy the interaction with people that teaching provides and the challenges it presents. I have found the skills I acquired during my time in theatre have been very useful in the classroom in motivating the students and making the classes enjoyable.
I've been an Italian tutor for over 10 years. After graduating in Comparative Cultures (English and Chinese) I obtained a diploma at the Italian Institute of Culture in London and completed an MA in Didactics of Italian as a Non-Maternal Language at the Perugia University for Foreigners . I have recently qualified as a teacher at the secondary school level.

Hello everyone and welcome to this profile. My name is Keon, I come from an international background as my father was half Swedish and I grew up around the world. A bit here and a bit there, I completed a BA in Italian Studies, an MSc in Scientific, Medical and Technical Translation, another MSc in Environmental Studies, a PGCE and consequentially a QTS (fully qualified teacher status). My last endeavour has been a PhD where I examined the role of one of Italy’s most endearing poets – Dante. As for teaching, in the years I developed a unique methodology where I make full use of controlled structures (I’ll tell all about them if you like) and embed them in a communicative approach with elements of inductive and deductive grammar. You learn as you talk almost without realising it. It is fun yet structured. A presto!
Ciao, my name’s Michele and I’m proudly a member of the Happy Languages family! I have a Ma of History and I’m doing a research Ph.D. about the relationship between Italian and English cultures during the Renaissance. International House London provided me with the Italian Certificate of Language Teaching to Adults (CLTA) with an intense training that introduced me to the captivating world of the language teaching. After I attained the DITALS II the advanced certification to teach Italian as a foreign language released by the Università per stranieri di Siena. And the CELTA (Certificate of English Language Teaching to Adults) awarded by the University of Cambridge's English Language Assessment. I taught the Italian language in five different countries to students of any ages and levels. During the lessons, my goal is to engage the students in a relaxing atmosphere satisfying their specific needs’. This kind of communicative approach is very appropriate to get practical results, to develop the 4 basic skills (speaking, reading, listening and writing) and to learn grammar in context.
