Hola! My name is Vanesa and I am a happy Spanish language teacher. My innate curiosity for communication, languages and cultures motivated me to complete a BA in journalism, and to obtain teaching qualification in Spanish language and literature in my native town, Madrid. After travel a little bit for Europe and Latin America, I decided to come to UK. Amased by the Londoner cultural jigsaw, I have been contributed to it as Spanish teacher for the last 10 years. My MA in Intercultural Communication in UCL enhanced my teaching methodology and inspirited me for the design and production of my own teaching material. As a result, in my lessons you will find a communicative and interactive approach, which will lead you to talk and discover Spanish as a language and culture. If you fancy a fun and instructive adventure, I will be waiting for you in Happy Language.
Ciao, I am Barbara, one of the Italian Tutors at Happy Languages. I hold a MA in Italian moderne Literature from the University of Florence and the DITALS I and II Certification released by the University for Foreigners of Siena. I am currently studying for a Professional MA in Teaching Italian Language and Literature to Foreigners (Itals II) at University Ca' Foscari of Venice. I am also one of the CILS examiner at Happy Languages' CILS centre. My wish is to share with others the love that I have for the Italian culture and its way of life. I am looking forward to seeing you!
Originally from a small village in Castilla y Leon I spent several years living in Madrid pursuing my passion for theatre and drama. I continued that passion at university in London, gaining a combined honours degree in Spanish and Latin American studies and Theatre Studies. I have since completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning, which seemed a natural progression, as there is an element of performance in teaching. I have been teaching Spanish for nearly 20 years across a range of levels in universities, colleges, business environments and private lessons. I enjoy the interaction with people that teaching provides and the challenges it presents. I have found the skills I acquired during my time in theatre have been very useful in the classroom in motivating the students and making the classes enjoyable.
"¡Hola a todos! I am Clara, and I am one of the Spanish teacher at Happy Languages. Apart from my studies in Humanities and Anthropology in Spain, I have formal education in “Teaching Spanish as a foreign language” and “Teaching Spanish as a new language to migrants”.
Learning a new language can be a challenge in many ways, that’s why I always try to create relaxed and positive atmosphere in the classroom. Additionally, I love creating new materials and activities based on the students learning attitude, to better support them."
Ciao, I am Pietro, one of the Italian Teachers at Happy Languages! In 2014, I graduated in Foreign Languages and Cultural Studies at the University of Sassari and, between 2016 and 2018, I gained several certifications for teaching Italian as foreign language, such as the DITALS I, released by the University for Foreigners of Siena, and a one year Master’s Course promoted by ICOTEA CAT, an educational institution accredited to the Italian Ministry of Education, University, and Research (MIUR). Teaching my native language is a real passion for me! I believe that it is excellent way to promote communication among people from different cultures and I consider it as a wonderful journey in which both teacher and students have the chance to discover new realities and open their minds.
I've been an Italian tutor for over 10 years. After graduating in Comparative Cultures (English and Chinese) I obtained a diploma at the Italian Institute of Culture in London and completed an MA in Didactics of Italian as a Non-Maternal Language at the Perugia University for Foreigners . I have recently qualified as a teacher at the secondary school level.
