Spanish Video Tutorial: Introducing yourself

If you have just started your course, introducing yourself in Spanish is a big challenge!

Introducing yourself in Spanish might seem very complicated at the beginning: there are quite a lot of things to know in order to make it work.

If you are learning Spanish in London at Happy Languages, learning how to introduce yourself will be fun!

First of all you will learn the basics: saying your name, age, country or city.

Also, you will go through the possible questions to ask and practise with your teacher and classmates.

In a very short time, you will be able to manage a basic conversation and introducing yourself in Spanish will be a piece of cake!

Here you have our nice video tutorial to practise!

Hola. Me llamo Gisela ¡Encantada! –> Hi. Mi name is Gisela, nice to meet you!

I said ¡Encantada! because I am a girl, if I were a boy I would say ¡Encantado!

Tengo 24 años. –> I am 24 years old.

Soy de Coruña, pero ahora vivo en Londres. –> I am from Coruña, but I am currently living in London.

When you meet a person, you say:

¡Hola! ¿Qué tal? –> Hi! How are you?

Estoy bien, gracias. –> I am fine, thanks.

If you are a bit upset, you can say:

Estoy triste. –> I am sad.

Then you might want to know where that person is from.

¿De dónde eres? –> Where are you from?

Soy de España. –> I am from Spain.

Now we have to learn how to say Goodbye, which is Adiós.

Although I think it is better to say:

¡Hasta luego! –> See you later.
